Highlights form Photography Class (part 2)

The Arts and Leisure Program has recently finished a second session of photography classes and I'm pleased to share with you a few highlights of their work from the fall session. Photographing in black and white, students were encouraged to not only utilize the rules of composition they learned in the last session but to also look at shadow and light, texture and patterns to create interesting images. Relying on the power of colour was not something they could fall back on. I can't begin to express how proud I am of their progress and success.

I'm also proud to announce that their work, along with the students from Photography: Part 1 will be on display and for sale during the Christmas Show at the Joshua Creek Heritage Arts Centre. (more details to follow!)

Highlights from Photography Class (part 1)

I can't begin to express how proud I am of the students in Photography, part 1, run through the Arts and Leisure program at Community Living Oakville...It was really hard to choose just 5 photos to post from each person.

Like in the first instalment of this course, we went to the Oakville Pier, Shell Park, and Gairloch Gardens. I've been so pleased to see their different points of view; their work is as individual as each student even though we were stressing the same few rules of composition. I'm pleased to share their work below. Enjoy!
