Photo II in black & white

With such great feedback from the students of the first photography class I was teaching and an interest in continuing the learning process, I've started a 'part two'. Goals include learning about the history of photography, shooting in black and white, and continuing to practice composition. I'm once again so proud of their progress.

We've gone back to the beginning. To the same spot we started; Sutton Gardens located at the back of Community Living Oakville, but this time with the assignment of looking at the garden in a different way and paying attention to the fact that they are shooting in black and white. The amazing sky was of course, a focus for many of the students. Below are some of their images. Comments welcome! Please enjoy.

Check out their progress...it's amazing to see how far they've come from the first field trip.

I'm very pleased to announce that we've started another photography class. A new batch of students started on September 8 and we've just finished our first 'field trip' to Sutton Gardens. Goals of this class are the same as the previous one; to learn the basics of working a digital camera, learn a few rules of composition, shoot and improve on field trips and of course have fun. I think we're off to a pretty great start.
